SF-2Y-CU, Marginal Lubricating bushing, Copper plated

TECMETAL SF-2Y-CU matches DX of Glacier-Garlock. TECMETAL SF-2Y-DU is a marginal lubrication bearing material which consists of three layers: steel backing, bronze layer and sliding layer. A 0.25 to 0.35 mm thick porous bronze layer tin bronze(lead free) is sintered onto the steel backing. In a rolling operation the pores of the bronze are completely filled with 2Y-POM mixture, POM, PTFE, and other filler . On top of the bronze layer there is a 0.40 to 0.50 mm thick sliding layer of 2Y-POM mixture. The steel backing and the sintered bronze skeleton give a very high compressive strength and provide good thermal conductivity for bearings manufactured from the TECMETAL SF-2Y-CU material. The outer diameter surface of the plain bearings is coated with a copper flash for protection against corrosion. Products are shining polished, not only for show but true mass production. Inner surface is with oil pocket so as to reserve oil to form a film for sliding.
