TECMETAL SF-1N-BR matches DUB of Glacier-Garlock. TECMETAL SF-1N-BR is a maintenance free bearing material which consists of three layers: bronze backing, porous bronze layer and sliding layer. A 0.25 to 0.35 mm thick porous bronze layer tin bronze(lead free) is sintered onto the bronze backing. In a rolling operation the pores of the bronze ball are completely filled with 1N-PTFE mixture, polytetra- fluoroethylene (PTFE), MoS2, and other filler. On top of the bronze layer there is a 0.01 to 0.03 mm thick sliding layer of 1N-PTFE mixture. The bronze backing and the sintered bronze skeleton give a very high compressive strength and provide good thermal conductivity for bearings manufactured from the TECMETAL SF-1N-BR material. The outer diameter surface of the plain bearings is bright polished. SF-1N-BR is most suitable for acid environment because of the none activity property in acid environment.
