Detailed Product Description
TECMETAL SF-1X-CU matches DU of Glacier-Garlock. SF-1X-CU is a self lubricating bearing material which consists of four layers: copper plating layer, steel backing layer, bronze layer and sliding layer. A 0.25 to 0.35 mm thick porous bronze layer (lead free) is sintered onto the copper plating steel sheet. In a rolling operation the pores of the bronze are completely filled with 1X-PTFE mixture(PTFE, MoS2, graphite, Pb and other fibre filler). On top of the bronze layer there is a 0.01 to 0.03 mm thick sliding layer of 1X-PTFE mixture. The steel backing and the sintered bronze skeleton give a very high compressive strength and provide good thermal conductivity for bearings manufactured from the SF-1X-CU material. The outer diameter surface of the plain bearings is coated with a copper flash for protection against corrosion. Products are as shining as the photo, instead of only for show.
